We left Datca on Tuesday morning, intending to stop the night at Cnidos and go on to Kos the next day, but Cnidos was already busy at mid-day so we decided to go directly to Kos. We even had a bit of wind on the beam for the crossing so got the main up for the first time for two weeks, though we were still motor-sailing to keep above 2 knots.
We arrived at Kos marina at tea-time and were put on the outside quay, which bears the brunt of the North wind, but has a terrific view and breathtaking sunsets.Despite all the no fishing signs a priest came down two or three times a day religiously to pursue his calling
Becky and Andrew arrive with Kai and Charlie tonight, with force 4 winds forecast for the next week - and we have to go up to windward - a good introduction to sailing for 8 month old Charlie
