We have stayed in Serifos waiting for the wind to drop for us to make the long passage across to Poros. I forgot to mention that on the way up here we had our first sighting of a dolphin this summer. It stuck its head up to have a look at us only about one metre away, then dived under the boat and disappeared.
Kai has made some good friends here: an Italian boy we met two years ago in Agathonissi, two Greek American boys and, above all, Daphne, a beautiful thirteen-year-old Greek girl who speaks good English.
On Friday we took the bus up to the chora in the morning,
so we can offer you some more before and after pictures:

After walking up to the castle
We had drinks in a cafe
and Kai photographed himself with a horse.
We took the bus down because Kai complained that his foot was too painful to walk down - he has cut his foot parcouring and running around in bare feet. When we got back we found a notice sellotaped to the boat informing us that this side of the quay had to be cleared 'until 6 am tomorrow'. We presumed this meant by 6am, so we moved off that bit of the quay and went stern-to the other side, where there was now a space.
After lunch Kai went off to Livadakia beach. We followed him later and eventually found him. He had been having a great time because all his new friends were on the beach. Once we had found him and he joined us he decided that he wanted to be buried in the sand.
He spent the evening fishing with his Greek girlfriend, who was leaving the next day.
The forecast for Saturday was for too little wind, so we decided to go up to Kithnos, which would give us a shorter passage on Sunday, when the winds look more favourable.
Great pic Kai! Lucio
